These engines are of British design and Indian manufacture . . They did not spare any cast iron when they made these engines. The single cylinder engine weighs 750 pounds and the 12 or 20 Hp Two cylinder engine weighs in at a whopping 1150lbs .

Each engine comes starting handle, wrench, oil can, screw driver, and heavy tool pouch as well as a flat belt pulley.
The generator in this picture is rated conservatively at 12kw
The single 6hp will turn a 5kw Generator nicely and give you hot water as well
Here's a pair of engines that were designed to work. The single cylinder engines have tapered roller bearing mains, shimmed Babbitt rod bearings and wet sleeves. The twin has sleeve bearings and an oil pump. These engines would be great for turning a ST generator head for back up power in the burbs or making electricity and pumping water at a remote cabin by the lake.
